Position Scope 職務範圍
This position is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product cycle, ensuring that the product supports the company’s strategy and goals. The prospective manager must meet with vendors, negotiate components prices, define hardware requirements, define the complete product integration, elaborate product documentation and guarantee that the product is ready for manufacturing.

Job Description 工作職掌
1. Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
2. Be an expert with respect to the available technologies and trends
3. Define the core technologies to be used in the product
4. Coordinate product ID and mechanical designs
5. Generate and provide requests to engineers for special components
6. Defining and planning product lines and product enhancements
7. Define product models and configurations
8. Develop lab samples for software team
9. Develop mockup samples
10. Perform product demos to customers (BU)
11. Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
12. Develop all product documentation
13. Propose an overall budget to ensure success
14. Brief and train the BU counterparts on all product aspects
15. Maintain product throughout life cycle
16. Elaborate AVL (Approved Vendor List)
17. Elaborate ECR/ECN as needed
18. Coordinate with ME to generate SOP for manufacturing
19. Supervise manufacturing process during pilot run to ensure a fully compliant product
20. Elaborate Bill of Materials for each product
21. Define spare price list
22. Coordinate repair training to customers (GS)
23. Managing product contracts
24. Once the “look” and the functionality of the product is finalized, he/she will coordinate with manufacturing (outsourced) and monitor the creation of the prototype to ensure that the product specifications are met.
25. Technically the “creator” of the product which are usually created from scratch, with the help of the design team – HW / FW group, QA group, and Software group
26. Setting strategic direction based on customer needs and business goals
27. Interpreting strategic goals into operational tasks
28. Making proposals to senior management regarding implications of proposed plans
29. Serving as a representative to internal clients
30. Taking the lead in establishing tactical plans and objectives
31. Developing and implementing administrative and operational matters ensuring achievement of objectives
32. Evaluating risks and trade--‐offs
33. Proposing contingency plans
Key Technical and Professional Skills required 條件需求
1) Minimum 4 years experience as a Product Manager or similar position.
2) 6 years of experience in a job in the technology market.
3) Bachelor’s degree (Computer engineer or electronic engineer preferable)
4) Technical background, with experience in product integration.
5) Have extensive experience on product design / conceptualization, including the components to be used for the product.
6) Will handle the SAES (Electoral Solutions or Voting Machines) products.
7) Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8) Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
9) Excellent teamwork skills
10) Must be able to travel at least 40% of the time.
Reporting line
The HW manager will be reporting to A Senior HW Development Manager, a foreigner.
